No Tinny,

the idea behind this rule is not that. You can always say that
you gave the plate to her.

Ganon got it right. The reasons for this rule are:

1) It sends a message to those people who plan to make
money by the 'get-into-clan-lend-and-run' method. No
point trying it in BAA.

2) The rule makes it easier to say no. "Clan rules - sorry buddy."

3) It prevents public arguing about item issues.

Siniwelho " So effective immediately
lending items or money from a clan member to a clan
member is forbidden unless you use the in-game
lending function. This covers also asking in the cc."
Define better please.
Two problems I see with this rule. Problem number 1- Enforcable?
2- Lending items/coins is apart of the game function and is regrettably not illegal. People will still be lending stuff via free trade. (not something I would personally do.)
What this boils down to is choice. Is the player smart enough to be able to avoid scams and rip offs? Knowledge is the best weapon we have against that, any questions concerning scams and such please consult Runescape rules on the main page. We can't protect everyone in Runescape or in cc unfortunately, which leads to this question here.
By lending items or money from clan member to clan member do you mean Professor Scrumpy lends Scrappy a DDP + + for a race or an event because Scrappy forgot to bring one or cannot afford one at the time. This is used by initating the (lend) function. Are we to punish Scrumpy for his kindness in wanting to help a fellow clan member out? By kicking him out of cc? or....
Tinny loans Osdadv my Bandos Chest Plate via using the free trade function. (Please keep in mind, I trust my wife with all my heart.) For some reason she doesn't give it back and it takes her weeks to return it, am I to be punished for my choice in lending it to her?
I don't mean to sound like the Devil's advocate here, but again, the difference in Lending an item via Lend or just outright Giving the item away is choice.
I would hope our clan mates are smart enough to avoid scams and dishonesty.

I was not expecting to laugh so much, when I read this thread. xD Noob, if such an event ever happens, please call me to help dig you out! =D Other than that, I think this was a good rule to implement. Cat Hug

Well,

not sure. If someone has really lent you something then
I'm afraid that we must kick the lender from BAA because
we don't want insane clan members. And then the loan
won't be between clan members any more. Twisted Evil

But I give an example why you should use only the in-game
lending function:

Killa likes to lend my ranger boots when he goes to Arma.
I have absolute trust in Killa, but I still prefer the in-game
lending function. Why? Because there might be situations
where Killa cannot come on-line to return the boots. Maybe
the next blizzard covers his house in snow so that it will take
him a month to dig out. In a case like that he would probably
be more sorry than me, but by using the in-game lending
function neither of us have to worry.

Ok,

for two days I have read horror stories from the RSOF.
People have fallen to old and new scamming tricks, but
if you give people the ability to make decisions there
is unfortunately no way to prevent them making bad
decisions.

Some advice:

If someone you don't already know approachs you then
s/he is probably trying to scam you. Usually they start
with a pm.

If someone asks you to the wilderness - sigh.

If someone uses a group teleport you might want to
check the destination before you accept.

Besides the above we also had some people before 2008
who used to go from clan to clan. They stayed for a while,
lended valuable items or cash and then vanished. I don't
want to see that in BAA. So effective immediately
lending items or money from a clan member to a clan
member is forbidden unless you use the in-game
lending function. This covers also asking in the cc.

Note that you can GIVE everything you want but you
cannot complain afterwards that "He didn't pay back".
